A concept and production by Wireframe, in collaboration with Audiotopie, Plenum is a light and sound installation built around two stations inspired by the theremin and three light organs.

Each station responds to the movement of hands in the air. Between the three light organs, luminous flows move as if carried by the wind, while sound, rhythm, and intensity evolve with the participants’ gestures.

The word plenum, derived from Latin, means “full.” In both philosophy and physics, it refers to a space that is never truly empty. Apparent stillness is permeated by matter, energy, and invisible forces.

With Plenum, this concept becomes an experience. The work invites the public to activate this space at the heart of the stations. Through play, these subtle forces are revealed: movement generates sound, sound gives rise to light, and what once seemed invisible takes shape.
